Video Game Voice Over Class with Josh Dean

Monday, December 17, 2018 at 7 PM – 10 PM Downtown Recording 515 South Fourth Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202 Cost is $100 per person. Email admin@actlouisville.com to learn more and to reserve your spot. Video game voice-over work is much different than commercial voice-overs. Participants will have a chance to record in the booth with provided material and direction from video game director and screen actor Josh Dean. In this workshop Josh will cover: the current video game landscape finding your VO voice breaking down audition scripts booth technique practical booth time question and answer session Josh is a Los Angeles based Video Game Voice Over Director and acts extensively on camera (currently appearing in the NBC series Blindspot). He has directed everything from AAA console titles to Indy VR games and directed such characters as Wario and Harry Potter. His first major project was directing all player character voices for Bioware’s Dragon Age: Inquisition. Since then he’s done the same for Bioware’s Mass Effect Andromeda and their upcoming game Anthem. Josh has worked on such franchises as Need for Speed, Ghost Recon, Steep, and Star Wars and extensively in localization projects for English translations of popular Japanese, Chinese and French properties.
