#SpiritedCity Neighborhood Tour - Portland Walking Tour
Join Louisville Tourism for a free walking tour of historic Portland, led by a neighborhood ambassador. Be sure to sign up today to reserve your spot! Founded in 1811, Portland was once a separate little town in 1935 connected to Louisville by a stage coach and one of Louisville's first trolley cars. Annexed by the city of Louisville in 1850s, Portland is now Louisville's largest neighborhoods that tells the story of Louisville's history. On this guided tour, you'll learn the history of Portland through it's amazing architecture including the oldest known wood-frame house in Louisville-- the Squire Earick House. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for the tour. When you arrive, be on the lookout for a Louisville Tourism representative holding a #SpiritedCity sign.
