From the artist, Jesi Murphy, "I obsess over every choice and detail in my work to a degree that ensures each piece takes forever to complete and always depicts something recognizable or at the very least a pattern. With this piece I decided to challenge myself to choose colors, materials, techniques and placement in a rapid-fire way in order to not give myself time to overthink the overall composition and create something that builds and forms organically. This is the first true abstract piece I have ever completed. This piece is the embodiment of what I can accomplish when I let go, don't overthink, and quickly choose what 'feels' right and let my hands work as fast as possible."
