Brown-Forman Signature Classics: FROM THE SEA

OCT 12th 2019: Water – the essential element of life – is explored in this vivid program featuring six members of The Percussion Collective. From the mythological sea nymphs of The Oceanides to Seaborne, a work by a Grammy-Award winning composer with percussion solos presented with a breathtaking film by Kjell van Sice, this program offers an expansive look at music depicting bodies of water. Become River flows through the orchestra with an innovative stage setting and the performance closes with the magnificent La mer by French composer Claude Debussy.CONCERT TALK: Starting at 6:45PM in Whitney Hall, the LO, together with WUOL, offers a free, pre-concert discussion hosted by radio program direction Daniel Gilliam. The Concert Talk features Julia Noone, assistant concertmaster of the Louisville Orchestra in a 30-minute conversation.
