What is UPR? The United States will soon undergo a Universal Periodic Review by the UN Human Rights Council - come to provide your input on human rights in the U.S. August 15 at 7-8:30 P.M. at St. Paul UMC, 2000 Douglass Blvd. (at Bardstown Road) in the Social Hall (enter back red door), United Nations Association of the USA Kentucky Division will host a meeting of round tables for your ideas and inputs regarding human rights in America. The focus is on Human Trafficking and Pornography but other topics are welcomed such as climate, etc. You will choose the topics and make bullet points or short sentences regarding your topic. These will be sent to UNA-USA National office in Washington, D.C. - and on to very high level offices like U. S. Dept. of State, UN Diplomats, UN Human Rights Council, etc. Then May 2020, the U. S. will have their review.
