The PNC Kentucky Derby Festival Tour de Lou is back, so gear up and get ready to see the city like you've never seen it before! KDF is again partnering with the Louisville Bicycle Club to produce the ride, scheduled for Sunday, April 28th, 2019. The Festival’s sixth annual bike tour is for all levels of experience. The PNC Tour de Lou route will be an open course, starting and finishing at Waterfront Park near Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville. There also will be three separate distances based on experience levels: 20 miles - Beginner/New to cycling (Open course, no streets closed.) 35 miles - Moderate/Experienced (Open course, no streets closed.) 62.1 miles - Advanced (Open course, no streets closed.) The course includes a scenic Olmsted Park Tour showcasing Shawnee, Chickasaw, Wayside, Iroquois and Cherokee parks, as well as a ride by the iconic Churchill Downs racetrack. Cyclists on the more experienced rides will also travel through neighborhoods around the city from Downtown along Main Street and Waterfront Park, to Portland, Algonquin and South Louisville; as well as Old Louisville, NULU, the Highlands and Butchertown.
