We're expecting...kittens! Help us shower our bottle-fed kittens with love at a Kitten Shower on June 1. Meet our newest kittens, enjoy refreshments and activities, bid on silent auction items and more. Tickets are $10 or a donation from our Amazon registry. Little Orphans Kitten Rescue was founded in 2011 and is the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue in Kentucky and for hundreds of miles around whose sole purpose is to save the lives of orphaned neonatal kittens (“bottle babies”). These precious babies are the most at risk of euthanasia because they require intensive care and most rescues and shelters lack the knowledge or staff to provide it. Orphaned kittens under one week of age require bottle feeding every two hours, including overnight! Our dedicated and compassionate team of foster volunteers has the knowledge, the training, and the passion to care for these babies until we find them forever homes through adoption.Learn more....

Registration for the 2019 Brightside & Passport Health Plan Spring Community-Wide Cleanup is open! We encourage all residents to take part in the spring 2019 Brightside & Passport Health Plan Spring Community-Wide Cleanup on Saturday, April 13th . Registration for the 2019 Brightside & Passport Health Plan Spring Community-Wide Cleanup is open! We encourage all residents to take part in the spring 2019 Brightside & Passport Health Plan Spring Community-Wide Cleanup on Saturday, April 13th . The event is a great service opportunity for boy/girl scouts, sports teams, faith groups and community organizations. It could also be a corporate team bonding opportunity! Cleanups are an integral part of Brightside's mission and without the help of volunteer groups, and many other volunteers throughout the year, Brightside could not achieve their goals of a cleaner, greener Louisville. Neighborhoods can hold their own cleanups at any point throughout the year and we can provide gloves and bags for each Neighborhood Cleanup. We will work with Solid Waste Management to have the collected litter bags picked up. Give us a call at (502) 574-2613 or register online about two weeks prior to your event to schedule your cleanup and for information about getting supplies. Thanks to each and every volunteer who supports the Brightside & Passport Health Plan Community-Wide Cleanup, for your time and dedication – we can’t do it without you!
