Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, food + drinks by Wiltshire at The Speed Art Museum, and of course art! January’s exciting events include: — WUOL, NouLou Chamber Players perform Erwin Schulhoff’s Concertino for flute, viola, and bass. A Czechoslovakian Jewish composer targeted by the Nazis for producing “entartete musik” (degenerate music), Schulhoff’s life was tragically cut short in 1942, when he contracted tuberculosis in Wülzburg concentration camp. — Raffle opportunities from Do502 — Jecorey Arthur will present his family program, @Classical Corner, featuring hands-on orchestra conducting with the Compass Quartet, composition coloring with the Speed’s education department, a drum circle with DrumSmart, and an instrument petting zoo. — An in-gallery talk with curator Miranda Lash and WFPL’s Ashlie Stevens on the special exhibition, Keltie Ferris: *O*P*E*N* — Screening of I Am Cuba (Soy Cuba) at Speed Cinema (tickets sold separately) — Secrets and Stories Tour with Shannon Karol — WFPK Stacy Owen presents “Rock & Roll vs. Censorship: Six Decades of Banned Hit Songs, Live with GRLwood” — A special menu designed for After Hours by Wiltshire at The Speed Art Museum — A cash bar and special menu designed for After Hours by Wiltshire at the Speed — And more!
