Yelp's Art in Action 2018

*** RSVP on Yelp at http://bit.ly/YAIA18. You must RSVP on Yelp for your RSVP to count. *** Yelp's Art in Action 2018 celebrates the creativity of Louisville and beyond. And for our fifth annual event, Yelp Louisville is going BIG by hosting this event at the iconic Speed Art Museum! It takes Yelp's purpose of connecting people with great local businesses out of cyberspace and into a more face-to-face setting. Yelp Lou's biggest bash will feature beautiful eats, exquisite drinks, interactive exhibitions and captivating performances from some of Louisville and the region's most innovative businesses, nonprofits and groups. From Louisville's ground-breaking culinary scene to its Possibility City spirit, creativity is intrinsic to what makes the Derby City so weird and wonderful. So we say revel in it! It will be a night chock full of more interesting scenes than you'll be able to point a smartphone at -- though you're welcome to try. And the best part is that admission is FREE, with confirmed RSVP. All food and activities are free, and drink samples will be provided by Yelp. This event is strictly 21+. This event is a major fundraiser for our main nonprofit sponsor, the Speed Art Museum (www.speedmuseum.org), the oldest and largest museum of art in Kentucky. A suggested $20 donation will be requested at the door, and 100 percent of donations will go to the nonprofit. The Speed is where art from around the world invites and inspires diverse audiences to experience the power of creativity. And thanks to the generous support of the Speed's members, benefactors and other community leaders, the Speed completed an ambitious three-year expansion project in 2016, which included the new 60,000-square-foot North Building, one of the finest experiential art museums in the country that doubled the overall square footage and nearly tripled the gallery space from the existing wing. The expansion also included new modern architecture, a state-of-the-art theater, inviting outdoor spaces and expanded programming. Continued support will ensure the new Speed will remain a dynamic cultural resource that's open and accessible to all. AGAIN, ASIDE FROM THE SUGGESTED DONATION, ADMISSION IS FREE AND OPEN TO ANYONE WITH A YELP ACCOUNT, WHICH IS FREE AND QUICK TO SET UP. You can sign up for Yelp here: yelp.com/signup. VERY IMPORTANT: A CONFIRMED RSVP VIA YELP IS MANDATORY TO ATTEND. RSVP AT http://bit.ly/YAIA18. Other event details: * This event is 21+. * There are no +1s. Everyone who wants to attend must RSVP individually via the Yelp event listing. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Full list of participating businesses, nonprofits and groups will be announced soon and listed here: http://bit.ly/YAIA18. ---------------------------------------------------------------- WANT TO SEE YOU LOUISVILLE PHOTOS FEATURED AT YELP'S ART IN ACTION?
