Photographer Matt Gatton hypothesizes that ancient man may have been able to use the principles behind the camera obscura to create images. He specializes in the aesthetic and ritual use of light in prehistory and antiquity, with particular emphasis on the phenomenon of the camera obscura, an optical principle as old as light itself. Come learn more about Gatton’s theory. This program is free and open to the public, however, registration is required.
